Hestia & Metis
welcome you!
A blog about baking, cooking, crocheting… and so much more!
Hestia is the Greek gooddess of the hearth while Metis represents skill and crafting. Being the strong female figures they are, they guide me as I follow my passions, baking, cooking, and crocheting.
True to its name, this blog focuses on Hestia’s areas of expertise (baking & cooking) as well as Metis’ crafting genius (crocheting). Hence, in the section “Kitchen Exploits,” you can find all types of recipes ranging from baking your own bread to making yummy desserts to cooking a variety of healthy main dishes. In the section “Yarn Charms” I post crochet patterns and instructions for a variety of fun projects – anything from crocheting your own blankets and pillows to teddies to scarves and gloves.
Have a look around and feel free to leave me a comment. You can also connect with me on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. No matter where and when, I would love to hear from you!
I update this site regularly – at least once a week, so please stop by often. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions or ideas, I would love to hear them!
